Free agent right-hander Kyle Lohse passed his physical Friday and finalized his $4.25 million, one-year contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. Lohse has been throwing to college hitters while awaiting an offer to his liking and is expected to be in the Cardinals’ rotation by the start of the season. Pitching coach Dave Duncan watched closely as Lohse threw a bullpen session Friday morning.
